Explain the strategies of the national labor union, the Knights of Labor, and the American Federation of Labor for advancing the interests of workers. To what exten were these organizations successful in achieving their objectives? Confine your answer to the period from 1866 to 1900.

The labor unions banded the workers together to make the bosses listen- when confronted by so many workers refusing to do their jobs until demands were me, the bosses were forced to give in to demands made by the various members of the unions. However, not all unions worked out, and many people found themselves without jobs as strikes were called off because other workers were brought in to replace them.
