Evaluate the definite integral. (problem in replies)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{3}^{6} (x)/(3\sqrt{x^2-8})\]dx

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm it looks like you can do a nice U-substitution here.\[\large u=x^2-8\]\[\large du=2x\;dx\]Solving for x dx gives us,\[\large \frac{1}{2}du=x\;dx\]Understand how to plug all the pieces in? :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep. thanks :)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

No no, thank you - for keeping Gotham safe!
