I DONT WANT THE ANSWER! Just read please .You are a Native American living in the U.S. in 1803. You just found out the U.S. government purchased the Louisiana Territory from France. Speculate how this purchase will affect you and your family. (In the form of either a diary entry or a letter.) I dont need the answer I just wanted to understand where the Us territory was. On the United states map, the Louisiana territoy goes from the middle of the united states North to south. Where was the united states?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That whole middle part is the U.S right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes pretty much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That was all to the US at the time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where it says Louisiana Purchase, whos territory did the belong to?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

France teh French had Louisiana and that whole area and we bought it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and what area did the united states have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The right area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

before they purchases it from france?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We had everything to the right of the purchaser line, left still belonged to other people I'm pretty sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh and FL wasn't ours I think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Belonged to Spain or something weird like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i found that, check it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as for my answer, I would say that it doubled the size of the united states, and cornered the spanish and they eventually lost. Then i could add in things like it gave jobs and population grew

OpenStudy (anonymous):

something along those lines right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The USA did double in size, we also gained access to the Mississippi and uhm That port city in Louisiana (can't think of the name) It also connected us to the Spanish who we eventually crushed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for helping, your kind :)

Glad I could help =D
