Val owns a hardware store. The floor plan drawn on the coordinate grid below shows its five different sections. Val calculates the ratio of length and width of each section drawn on the grid and concludes that two sections are similar. Which two sections appear as similar geometric figures on the grid?

i would have to say H and K

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

H = 4 x 6 K = 2 x 3 S = 1 x 1 T = 1 x 3 M = 2 x 4 If you multiply the dimensions of K by 2, you go from 2 x 3 to 4 x 6, the same as H. There is no other pair of numbers that you can multiply both dimensions by the same number and turn into the dimenstions of another. So the answer is H and K.

Okay thankyou!!! I need help with one more... A scale drawing of a storage box on a coordinate grid shows a square with the points (3, -1) and (4, 4) as the locations of two adjacent vertices. Which pair of coordinate points could represent the other two vertices? A. (-2, 0) and (-1, 5) B.(8, -2) and (10, 3) C. (-2, 0) and (8, -2) D. (8, -2) and (9, 4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. (-2,0) and (-1,5)

Thankyou!!
