how do you create a thesis?

A thesis is pretty much just a statement or something you believe.

Example:
Chocolate chip cookies are better than sugar cookies.

Then you would make body paragraphs about it explaining >WHY< chocolate chip cookies are better than sugar cookies.

The Thesis Statement "pulls" the reader into reading the paper. Maybe like a question that will be answered later in the paper. Or, just something that makes the paper interesting, and makes the reader not want to put the paper down. The Thesis Statement should be in the first couple sentences of the paper.
