angle 2 = angle 6 because they are corresponding angles angle 2 = angle 4 because they are vertical angles so angle 4 = angle 6 (by substitution) since angles 4 and 6 are alternate interior angles, and they are congruent, you can say that AB || CD by the converse of the alternate interior angles theorem
