what percent of 40 is 24?

OpenStudy (lasttccasey):

24/40 = 60%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.4x=24 sooooo divide each side by .4

OpenStudy (lasttccasey):

To check, simply multiply 40 by 60% or .6 so, 40 x 0.6 = 24
