1. Converting u to 2u gives magnitude 30, angle 60°, which is (30cos60°, 30sin60°) = (15,25.98). Converting v to -3v gives magnitude -60, angle 160°, which is (56.382, -20.521). Numbers are rounded with all digits kept in Excel. This converts back to 71.6, but only 4.37
