1st we need to salve for “x” 6x - 4y = 54 -9x +2y =-69 6x – 4y + 2 (-9x +2y) = 54 +2 (-69) 6x – 4y – 18x + 4y = 54 – 138 -12x = -84 X= -84/-12 = 7 2nd we need to solve for “y” 6x - 4y = 54 -9x + 2y = -69 6y= 5 Y= 1.2 Elimination IS the easiest to use.
Could you tell me where I went wrong I know Y isnt correct because of the x value i just dont know where I went wrong could someone help me PLZ?
I really just need help with Y
You correctly solved for "x", so you could just take that value for "x" and put it into the first equation: 6(7) - 4y = 54 -> 42 - 4y = 54 -> -4y = 12 4y = -12 -> y = -3
Thank you:)
You're welcome!
Thx for the recognition! And good luck to you!
