1st we need to salve for “x”

-9x +2y =-69
6x – 4y + 2 (-9x +2y) = 54 +2 (-69)

-12x = -84
X= -84/-12 = 7

2nd we need to solve for “y”

6y= 5

You correctly solved for "x", so you could just take that value for "x" and put it into the first equation:

6(7) - 4y = 54      ->      42 - 4y = 54      ->      -4y = 12

4y = -12      ->     y = -3
