5(x-7)=3(x-2)+2x

Distribute, combine like terms (terms with x on one side, terms without on the other), and divide to solve.

Actually, this is an interesting problem.\[5(x-7)=3(x-2)+2x \implies 5x-35=3x-6+2x\]\[\implies -35=-6\]Clearly, -35 isn't -6. When we get a contradiction like that, we know the problem is ill-posed, and has no solution.
