Write a 5 sentence paragraph using at least one metaphor and one simile.

(This is really bad but whatever) When asked to write a 5 sentence paragraph using at least one metaphor and simile I cringed, like an old man who had forgotten his daily dosage of medicine. I was uncertain of how my short writing piece would go longer than intended, as I typed the lead out of my computer, and resharpened the battery out of it too. I guess I can do I decent enough job responding to this prompt, before I reiterate what I've never wrote, claiming to be smarter thana man who is late on answering a 3-day old question.

When you write a similie you use words such as 'like' or 'as'. Eg: Her hair was like the sun. or He was as fast as a cheetah.
Metaphors are direct comparisons. Eg: Mary is a pig.
It's often easier to come up with your own metaphors etc to suit whatever text you're meant to write, but there's plenty of examples in everyday life to take ideas from.
