Describe two types of drugs and the negative impact the abuse of these drugs can have on a person’s health. Please help
Cocaine: Cocaine, a powdery white drug, can be taken to give users a feeling of euphoria, like they can take on the world. Some take it before tests/games to feel pumped up, but they only perform at their usual or below usual levels. Over time, the neurons in the brain adjust to the constant stimulation given by cocaine, and the body is no longer able to naturally produce enough dopamine to make the user feel normal when they are not taking cocaine. Their pain/pleasure center in their brain is altered. They eventually need cocaine to be at the normal levels of cocaine as everyone else, and this worsens over time. However, as they need more and more to feel high, their fatal dose doesn't change, and too often this ends in one overdosing. Meth: Crystal meth is a cheap drug, and easy to make (though dangerous if done wrong!). It gives a short burst of intense sensation and makes the user feel all floaty with crazy amounts of meth stimulating their brain. As with cocaine, the user stops feeling normal without it; but unlike cocaine, when on meth there is no way the person is as normal as they used to be. Side effects are hallucinations and crawling sensations, most notably the feeling of bugs crawling under neat ones skin. Meth users often have scratch marks on them from trying to scratch these imaginary bugs, and scabs on their faces. Meth also makes people do things they normally wouldn't and take things too far. Meth users are particularly known for their violence when on AND off the drug.
