Abby has 75% more CD's than Barb, and Cathy has 30% more CD's than Barb. To the nearest percent, what percent more CD's does Abby have than Cathy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Assume Barb has 100. If Abby has 75% more, she has 175 If Cathy has 30% more, she has 130 Now for the main question. If we take Cathy to mean 100% how many above that does Abby have. \[\frac{100}{130}=\frac{x}{175}\] Finally the question asks how what percent MORE...so subtract 100 from the value of x and you're done!
