ax+by=c solve for y

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Subtract ax from both sides. Then divide both sides by b to isolate y. \[\Large ax + by = c\] \[\Large by = c-ax\] \[\Large y = \frac{c-ax}{b}\]
