So they want you to try and make a connection between the xy-coordinate system and this problem that we have here. Starting at (0,0), notice that if we move TWO unit to the right along the x-axis, the blue line seems to land at y=10. Hmm so for every 2 of .... x.... we end up with 10. Does that match up with our problem at all? :O Hmm I think it does. If DVD's were represented by X, and COST by Y, then renting 2 dvd's would result in a cost of 10. See how I made the connection there?
