OpenStudy (icalibear):

Can somebody help me write a paragraph proof?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

I don't know if its correct or not but so far I have: BC is congruent to EC because it is given. AC is congruent to DC because it is given. <BCA is congruent to <ECD because they are vertical angles. ^BCA is congruent to ^ECD because of ASA postulate.

OpenStudy (icalibear):

@zepdrix

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

everything is correct BUT the two triangles are congruent because of the SAS postulate and NOT the ASA postulate

OpenStudy (icalibear):

am i missing any steps that come after that like for BA = ED

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

then you need the reason why BA = ED (this reason is from the idea that triangle BCA is congruent to triangle ECD )

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

here's why it's SAS the corresponding colors match to show you which sides/angles are congruent to each other

OpenStudy (icalibear):

so the last reason is BA = ED because of CPTCP? and ok that helps thanks

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

more like CPCTC, but you have the right idea

OpenStudy (icalibear):

mixed up the letters sorry so that's the entire proof everything i wrote plus that??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes

OpenStudy (icalibear):

ok thank you

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
