Find the center (h,k) and radius r of the circle and then use these to (a) graph the circle and (b) find the intercepts if any: 5x^2+10x+5y^2=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by 5 first and get \[x^2+2x+y^2=0\] then complete the square you get \[(x+1)^2+y^2=1\] so the center is \((-1,0)\) and the radius is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 how exactly do I graph that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put a dot at the point \((-1,0)\) and then draw a circle with radius 1 about the dot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 wouldn't I need the intercepts? to get the exact circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it not have intercepts ? @satellite73
