What's the difference between super-string theory and just the string-theory?
String theory tries to unify the laws of quantum mechanics and general relativity. Quantum mechanics is used to understand how tiny particles of matter interact with each other, while general relativity explains how satellites, planets, stars and galaxies behave in space. One thing you need to know is that quantum mechanics aren't as "easy" to study as other subjetcs because you can never know both position and linear momentum of a particle, so stadistics and probability become a big part of this theory. And superstring theory is another attemp to explain the universe, since tiniest to the biggest, saying that every particle and fundamental force in the universe is produced by the vibrations of really really tiny "strings".
