The value of Goodstudent stock increased from $300 a share to $600 a share. What was the percent of increase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think of it this way: a 10% increase would bring the stock to $330 (because it would increase by 10% or $30). A 50% increase would be $450, because you'd add on half, or $150. What would an increase to $600 be? Hope that helps!

100%

OpenStudy (asapbleh):

600/300 -1=1 1 move two decimals = 100% increase
