(x^2-1)(x^2+3x+2)=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh you get to factor again x^2-1=0 that one should be easy and then factor x^2+3x+2=0 to get the other solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're turning into my new best friend on here....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(s-6)^3=27(s-8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i just distribute first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after i distribute i get 3^3-108=27s-216

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then common sense tells me to get 216 over to the left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoops. that should be s^3 not 3^3. damn computer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you expand the left side you should have s^3-18s^2+108s-216 right side looks okay s^3-18s^2+108s-216=27s-216

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now you should move everything to the left to get it equal to 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.2x^2-1.1x+0.5=0 . could i just multiply everything by 10 to get rid of the decimals?
