How do I find the slope of y=-5x-3

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

when the equation of a straight line is in this form \[y=mx+b\] \(m\) is the slope & \(b\) is the \(y\)-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I just write m=-5 because its the slope

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

yes , that is all you have to do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow I feel dumb LOL thank you :D

-5 is the answer
