Solve the equation 3 sin x + 3 = 0 sinx = -1 what's next??

OpenStudy (bibby):

you can take the arcsin (sin^-1) of both sides and get the angle.-90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you have to take the arcsin?

OpenStudy (bibby):

because they're inverse functions. kinda like how taking the square root of x^2 gives you x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, so if its -90 it should be 3pi/2 right?

OpenStudy (bibby):

in radians? Looks right.

thank you!!
