A small business purchases a piece of equipment for $875. After 5 years the equipment will be obsolete and have no value. Write a linear equation giving the value y of the equipment in terms of time t.

Parth (parthkohli):

Hmm... you can just write two points that look like \((0,875),(5,0)\) and make a linear equation out of it.

hero (hero):

Of course you don't want my help anymore @lilfayfay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I nvr said that I thought u went offline :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero can u help then? <333

hero (hero):

I think @ParthKohli gave you a pretty good hint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so far i got -175 for the slope :))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is y=-175t +875

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait nvm i got it thx <333

hero (hero):

Yup

hero (hero):

Bro, you don't need no help with any of this stuff. You just need to use that thing in your head.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero can u help me with another problem pls? :)

Parth (parthkohli):

Sorry, it's a little hard following the questions along with reading a book :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha yeah well I'm doing the review for Calc for my final that'll be on this Wed. so most of this was at the beginning of the quarter xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*semester

hero (hero):

f(t) = -175t + 875 to be more exact

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea that's what I got

hero (hero):

@ParthKohli, what book is that?

Parth (parthkohli):

It's just a 50 cent collection of math formulae.

hero (hero):

lolz, that doesn't sound like a book.

Parth (parthkohli):

Anything that you enjoy is a book :p

hero (hero):

I enjoy money, movies, food, and basketball, none of which are books :P

Parth (parthkohli):

life is a book -_-

hero (hero):

I've only considered books to be things you read.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

indeed. can u guys help me with my next question? ^^

hero (hero):

How many of these questions you got? And why do you need help with every single one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well.. not every single one mai friend, just.. a. few.. o.O

hero (hero):

How many questions do you consider to be a few? 100 or 200?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
