OpenStudy (icalibear):

What angle is formed in this situation?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

its like a trick or something D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where's the angle you want?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

well my question reads as this: "A length of rope is stretched between the top edge of a building and a stake in the ground. The rope also touches the top of a tree between the stake and the building at a 48 degree angle. What angle is formed by the rope and the building?" The line with the 45 degree angle sign represents the tree. The parallelogram represents the building. The line shaped around those two represents the rope.

OpenStudy (icalibear):

Now it LOOKS like a ninety degree angle is formed, which in that case I think the answer would be 42. But I'm not very sure. Please help.

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

hint: the wall of the building and the tree are parallel.

OpenStudy (icalibear):

so they would form a 48 degree angle?

OpenStudy (icalibear):

well no not necessarily. i still think its 42.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm still confused as to where the 48 degree angle is...

OpenStudy (icalibear):

the tree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm thinking this is the 48 degrees: |dw:1355731810215:dw|
