6x + 29 = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

29 - 5 / 6x = 24x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I DONT GETN IT?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay your trying to find what x equals so you would have to subtract the 29 from both sides so that x can divide by just one number 6x+29=5 -29=-29 6x=24 x=24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after you subtract the 29 from both sides you then divide the x with what ever is on the other side of the equals sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No since you subtracted the 29 by 5 it now gives you 24 that you then divide by 6x...which would give you 4x...please regard where I said x=24 its actually 4x.
