How does the number of chromosomes in anaphase differ from the number of chromosomes in the other stages of mitosis?
If u r talking about mitosis, there is the prophase, pro metaphase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase........ Remember that in metaphase, just after the metaphase, where there is the metaphase plate..... The chromosomes are " separated", they are going to different poles, with the help of micro tubules..... Does this help?
Correction: it should read... Just after the PROMETAPHASE...
not really. can you be a little bit more spcific? please
Basically, before anaphase, the chromosomes are diploid..... But when the chromosomes are separated in anaphase, it is haploid.
Nd check images on google for haploid and diploid... Nd just look at the stages of mitosis.... You'll know what I mean if you look at it
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
