I know if they are congruent the lines are parallel, and all the other angles (if matched up correctly) are congruent. See http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/alternate-interior-angles.html

The only ones that are not equal is choice (d). interior angles on the same side (NOT alternate) add up to 180. I think that is called supplementary.
