Prophase - DNA strands begin to coil and condense becoming short, thick, visable and form chromosomes.

Metaphase- chromosomes line up at the centre of the cell or equator, spindle fibres attaches to centromere.

Anaphase- centromere splits into 2 and migrate to opposite poles

Telophase- cell pulls, nuclear membrane reforms and cytokineses occurs (cell divides)
