There are three types of congruence 1) SSS Congruence - It's usually a postulate. If two triangles have 3 congruent sides, then they are congruent. 2) SAS Congruence - It's usually a postulate. If two triangles have 2 congruent sides congruent and the INCLUDED angle congruent, then the 2 triangles are congruent. 3) ASA and AAS Congruence - ASA is a postulate. AAS is a theorem. ASA - If two triangles have 2 congruent angles and one included side congruent, then the 2 triangles are congruent. AAS - If two triangles have 2 congruent angles and one nonincluded side congruent, then the 2 triangles are congruent.
