hmm well the domain is what possible values exist for x....so we look at the bottom part of this quotient only meaning the part of (x-3) now we set this equal to 0 because we cannot have #/0 = undefined this is because whatever makes the denominator = 0 is where x cant exist so x-3= 0 x=3 is where x doesn't exist so to write in interval notation would look like this (-00,3) U (3,00) 00 is my fast way of writing infinity
