Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp? Which statement best describes a quadrilateral?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im confused with regular or just normal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quad means four. Lateral means side. Therefore a quadrilateral is anything with four sides and 4 angles equaling 360º. It can be a square, a rectangle, or anything else with 4 sides. The sides can all be different lengths.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but im confused with a regular quadrilateral.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A regular quadrilateral is a square. It is a four-sided figure with all sides being the same length and all angles equal (right angles).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then the anser would just be a quadrilateral not a regular.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should say .. ' a quadrilateral is anything with four sides and 4 angles equaling 360º, but A regular quadrilateral is a square. It is a four-sided figure with all sides being the same length and all angles equal (right angles)'
