What is the Senators role in the law making process?

1. a bill is introduced in the senate 2. a senate subcommittee often first considers the bill 3. a full committee in the senate considers and may charge the bill 4. the senate debates and may change the bill 5. both house and senate compromise on differences between each version of the bill 6. the senate debates the compromise bill and votes on it lastly the approved bill is sent to the president may sign it into the law or veto the bill.
