Are all metals monatomic? Or is it only noble gases?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

metals aren't usually gases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Noble gases are inert hence monatomic. Metals seem to be monatomic but if you consider metallic bonding (electrostatic attraction of metal cations with delocalized electrons -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallic_bond) then that conclusion appears rather misleading.
