The ordered pair (4,2) is a solution to the system of inequalities below.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y>3x+2 y<-2x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im thinking its false...

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

Easiest way to do this would be to plug in (4,2). Replace x and y with 4 and 2, respectively, and see if the inequalities still hold. Both inequalities must hold for this to be true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok..i see that its false, or im not doing something correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be true if the 3x was -3x instead?

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

No, you have another equation to worry about~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, im confused then...was I wrong that it is false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, ive been working all day and night..finally get home and have to do homework lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so my brain isnt working correctly at this point.

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

You weren't wrong the first time, though

OpenStudy (anonymous):
