OpenStudy (anonymous):

4sin^2x + sin 2x -2 = 0 ? values of X ?

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

Let u = sin x And things should clear up a bit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how to make that for sin 2x ?

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

I just saw... hang on, I'm thinking...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ques was sin2x = 2 cos 2x , but i did until i got that answer

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

I don't know how you got there from the original question, but you realise that this all boils down to tan 2x = 2 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got there from cos 2x = 1-2sin^2 x

OpenStudy (zugzwang):

Yes, I can see it now. However, all you had to do was divide both sides of the equation by cos 2x you should arrive at tan 2x = 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg ! that is so true . haha . im on my semester break . brain is freezing ! :( THANKS2!
