Looks like a parabola, which means the focus will be the same distance from (0, 0) as the dotted line is, but the focus will be that distance *inside* the parabola, so 6 units along the x-axis inside the parabola; so what point would that be?

Well the focus is going to be on the x-axis, that means y=0, so it has to be (x, 0), which means the only choices are (6, 0) and (-6, 0). And the focus will be 6 units to the left of the center of the graph, so if you go six to the left, are you at (6, 0) or (-6, 0)?
