how do I simplify 2/(x^2-x)-1/x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I have to factor an x out of the bottom of the first one to get 2/x(x-1) right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great start :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then i multiply the other side by x-1 to make the denominaters equal right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i would have 2/x(x-1)-(x-1)/x(x-1) right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it seems that when i simplify this i do not get an one of my possibe choices i get 2/x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= 2 - ( x - 1) / x ( x -1) = ( - x + 3) / x ( x -1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok now i see thank u so much again for the help
