Someone please help.... From the Intermediate Value Theorem, is it guaranteed that there is a root of the given equation in the given interval? e^x= sinx (1,2) How isn't this function not continous over (1,2).... I mean e^x-sinx seems continous to me. I can get an answer when I plug in 0. Doesn't that mean there's a root between a and b?
