please help me! Sketch the graph of 5x-4y=-20 Label the X and Y intercepts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-intercept: when y=0 y-intercept: when x=0 so if you find those two points you can just draw a line through them and thats your graph. x intercept: 5x-4(0)=-20 x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got (0,5) when x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get -4,0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, so plot those two points, label them, and draw a line through them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only have to find 2 points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these points are (0,5) and (-4,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I need to put y by itself?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you can graph a line with two points, just plot those and draw a straight line through them. (0,5) is the y intercept and (-4,0) is the x intercept, label those like the problem says

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks a lot!!! I don't have to leave y by itself, right? I can leave the equation the way it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example y=5/4x+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it didnt ask you to do anything to the equation, it just asked you to graph it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks!!! :)

slapppp
