Which of the following are true concerning living things? Check all that apply. They contain a vital force absent in nonliving things. They are composed of molecules that contain carbon-carbon bonds. They undergo chemical reactions to use energy they acquire from the environment. They do not require catalysts to sustain their living state.

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

Well, the third one is true, the last one is not, as catalysts are very important. I am not sure about the others.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I know the third one is true, the question is worth two points so I'm assuming there are two possible answers. I'm not sure if scientists believe that living things contain a vital force for living things so I'm leaning towards C and B but I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (athenawolf):

I wouldn't judge based on number of points, unless you are absolutely certain that every question gets exactly one point when there is one answer. However, if that is the style of the questions, I would think it is C and B, though C is the most correct.
