yes but when you squared -3 & got -9 what happened to the negative sign? @AustinTaylor

when you multiply the two negative together they become positives

i remember taking notes on this and my notes were negative * positive = negative (it goes the other way too) positive * positive = positive negative *negative = positive if u ever need those notes there they are :)
