Find the domain of the function. x / sqrt(x - 5) I know it uses the less than sign but I don't understand if its less than or less than or equal to. a. x >= 5 b. x != 5 c. all real numbers d. x > 5

OpenStudy (shamim):

a answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a isn't the answer.

OpenStudy (shamim):

why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to make sure that the number on the bottom is a real number (assuming you don't want to divide by a complex number, which occurs when taking square root of a negative number). So you need x-5 to be positive, and not zero.

OpenStudy (shamim):

ok d will b answer

OpenStudy (shamim):

x-5 will not b 0
