in this example the order is first inside the parentheses the multiplication and then division but the general order is this one: 1-terms inside parentheses or brackets 2-exponents and roots 3-multiplication and division 4-addition and subtraction it means if an expression is preceded by one operator and followed by another, the operator higher on the list above should be done first. hope it helps you.
