Check my answer? PLEASE! " ... a leader named Vortigern decided to get some assistance in fighting off the raiders who plagued the country." The author's use of "plagued" suggests the raiders were A difficult to predict or anticipate. B infectious and rather rebellious. (my answer) C deadly and hard to get rid of. D bad at first but then more calm. Am I right? It's either B or C.
