4*3-4*x=12-4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just multiple the 4 against each part. In the first section of parentheses we have (3-x) So first we multiply the 4 to the 3. We get 12. So then we multiply the 4 to the -x. -4x We are left with 12-4x.
