its a dummy button for you, you dont have mod status and its just showing up to you becasue of a bug in the programming

everyone actually gets mod buttons, but only mod status allows the buttons to function

they are normally hidden so there must be a snafu in how the style sheet is getting processed in your browser

no, thats how you find out your own ip addy; otherwise youd have to hack the DNS which is not something that gets taught here:/
