jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

It's only a parallelogram if 3y+5 = 5y-13 and 4x-17 = 2x-1

Only option A fits

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did u solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 (9) + 5 = 5 (9) - 13 27 + 5 = 45 -13 32 = 32 .......so y must be 9 now 4x - 17 = 2x - 1 4 (8) - 17 = 2 (8) - 1 32 - 17 = 16 -1 15 = 15 ......so x must be equal to 8 which is only option A
