PLZ HELPPPPP FAST :(
Choose the system of inequalities that matches the graph below.

y≥x+3
y≤-1/3x-2
y>x+3
y<-1/3x-2
y
One way to do this is just pick a point in the valid region (the green region) and enter it into each system of inequalities and check both are true. You can already eliminate two equations, the ones that use > or < signs, since the lines are solid lines not dashed lines, which means that the inequalites must use the >= or =< signs. The second and third options use > or < signs, so those two aren't valid answers, so it's the first or last.
would it be the first? that's what I was thinking..
If you're unsure, pick a point in the green region, an easy one to pick is (-9,0) and enter it into both of the first equations to check. So substitute in y=0 and x=-9 into these: y≥x+3 y≤-1/3x-2
0≥-9+3 0≤(-1/3)(-9)-2 Are both of these true statements?
yes
thanks haha
Then your answer is correct :) you could also check the last one doesn't work, using the same (-9, 0) 0≤-9+3 0≥(-1/3)(-9)-2 which gives 0≤-6 0≥1 Neither of which are true statements.
