+HELP+ Find the length of an arc of 40° in a circle with an 8 inch radius. 8pi/9 inches 16pi/9 inches 64pi/9 inches

A full circle is 360 degrees and you are looking at an arc of 40, so that's 40/360 or 1/9 of the whole way around. The whole way around or circumference is: (2)(pi)(r) so you want 1/9 of that or: (2)(pi)(r)(1/9) So, just put in your value for r into this last equation and you'll have your answer.

The easiest way to find arc length is using s=r*(theta) where s is the arc length and r is the radius and theta is the angle.
