well you don't need to divide it. Its angle sum of a pentagon the general formula for the angle sum of any polygon is \[AngleSum =(n - 2) \times 180\] in this question n = 5 so the angle sum is 540 using this you have 2x + 10 + 2x + 112 + 90 + 148 = 540 or 4x + 360 = 540 just solve for x

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

There is no need to divide angles. The sum of the measures of the angles of a polygon is (n - 2)180. n = number of sides. Since you have a pentagon, a five-sided polygon, when you use the formula, you get (5 - 2)180 = 3(180) = 540 The sum of the measures of all five angles of a pentagon is 540. In your pentagon, you habe a right angle wich measures 90 degrees. What you need to do now is set up a sum of the measures of the angles, and set that equal to 540. Then solve that equation for x.
